Can I Cash Out My Wager Before the Game Ends?
Absolutely! Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino offers a Cash Out option for certain wagers, giving you more control over your bets and their outcomes.
You can take advantage of the Cash Out feature both before and during games. The cash-out value is determined by your wager’s current worth, which takes into account changes in odds, the current score, and, for parlays, any legs that have already been graded.
Since odds can fluctuate with the action, there may be times when our trading team decides to pause the Cash Out option. When it is available, here’s how you can cash out:
- On Mobile: Tap the Bet Slip icon on the bottom navigation bar.
- Desktop: Click on the My Bets icon in the top navigation bar.
Once you’re in your pending wagers, any available Cash Out options will be shown, and you can easily process it by clicking the option next to your wager.
Just a quick reminder: The Cash Out option is treated like a wager, so you'll need to be located within Ontario, where Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino is regulated to use it.
Is There a Limit on How Much I Can Wager?
At Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino, there may be times when our trading team sets limits on how much you can wager. These limits may apply to specific sports markets, individual events, your account, or certain types of bets.
Why Are Wagering Limits Set?
Limits may be set for a variety of reasons, including:
- Existing wagers already placed on an event
- The specific type of wager you’re trying to make
- Your previous wagering activity with Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino
What Should I Do If I Hit a Limit?
If you receive a message stating you've reached a wagering limit, simply adjust your wager amount to fit within the allowed limit. Please note that wagering limits are reviewed periodically and may change.
How Long Before Wagers are Graded?
Most events are graded within an hour of completion, but bigger events may take longer.
If your wager isn’t graded after one hour, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
How Do I Read Different Types of Odds? Can I Change Them?
When it comes to sports betting, there are a few different ways to display odds, with the main types being American Odds, Decimal Odds, and Fractional Odds. Let’s break them down!
-
American Odds:
- Positive numbers (e.g., +200) show how much you could win on a $100 bet.
Example: +200 means a $100 bet would return $200 in profit, plus your $100 stake ($300 total). - Negative numbers (e.g., -150) indicate how much you need to wager to win $100.
Example: -150 means you must bet $150 to win $100 (your total return would be $250).
- Positive numbers (e.g., +200) show how much you could win on a $100 bet.
-
Decimal Odds:
- Show your total return (profit plus original stake) for every $1 wagered.
Example: 3.75 odds mean a $10 bet yields $37.50 in total return ($10 × 3.75).
- Show your total return (profit plus original stake) for every $1 wagered.
-
Fractional Odds:
- Represent potential profit relative to your stake, not including the original bet in the fraction itself.
Example: 5/1 (“five to one”) means a $10 bet would result in $50 profit, plus your $10 stake ($60 total return).
Example: 7/2 means a $10 bet returns $35 profit plus the $10 stake ($45 total).
- Represent potential profit relative to your stake, not including the original bet in the fraction itself.
How to Change Your Odds Format:
- Log in to your Bally Bet account.
- Select the ‘Sports’ tab.
- Scroll down to ‘Settings.’
- Under General, choose your preferred Odds Format.
How Can I Control Auto-Accepting Price Changes?
- Log in to your account.
- On the Sports homepage, scroll down and select Settings.
- Under Live Betting and Cash Out Settings, find Default Odds Change Behavior.
- Choose one of the following options:
• Accept all odds changes
• Accept higher odds
• Ask for approval
Can I Place In-Game Wagers (Live Bets) During Games?
What Are Moneyline Wagers?
A Moneyline bet is one of the simplest and most popular forms of sports betting. With a Moneyline wager, you simply pick which team (or athlete) will win a game or event—no point spreads or totals are involved.
How Moneyline Odds Work
What Happens If Games I Bet On Are Cancelled, Postponed, or Change Location?
Voided bets are refunded if a game is canceled or not completed. For more details on specific situations, please take a look at our house rules.
Why Is My Bet Suspended (Closed)?
Bets may be temporarily suspended for various reasons, which will cause them to appear grayed out on your bet slip. No need to worry—this just means they aren’t available right now, either for review or because they’ve been canceled.
To place your other bets, you’ll need to remove the suspended one first. Just click the minus icon next to it, and you’ll be all set to continue with your wagers.
Why Was My Betslip Voided?
Why Does It Say "Regraded" Next to My Betslip?
Our trading team here at Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino make every effort to properly grade/score the results of games in a timely and accurate manner. At times, leagues may change scoring results or decisions that may impact your wagers, or on rare occasions, we may mis-grade an event/game. In either of these cases, it would become necessary to “regrade” the outcome of the game to ensure everyone is paid accurately.
Games may be regraded if leagues update results or if a misgrading occurred.
- Loss (Regraded): You were paid in error and payout was removed.
- Win (Regraded): You weren’t paid but should have been, so a payout was added.
What Are Correlated Events?
When building a parlay wager, it’s important to know you can’t include bets that are “correlated.” Correlated events, sometimes called “connected events” are bets where the outcome of one strongly affects the likelihood of the other, making them dependent rather than unrelated.
Why does it matter?
Sportsbooks require each leg of a parlay to involve independent events. If two bets are closely connected, combining them gives an unfair advantage, since winning one strongly increases the chance of winning the other.
Examples of Correlated Events:
-
Baseball:
Including both the moneyline (which team will win) and the run-line (team wins by a certain number of runs) on the same game. If your team covers the run-line, they almost always win the moneyline as well. -
Over/Under and Spread:
Combining a bet on Team A to cover the spread (for example, -10 points) with a bet on the total points (over/under) in the same game, especially if the point spread is 30% or more of the game’s total. These two outcomes can be strongly connected in high-scoring or lopsided games. -
Football:
Parlaying the first half outcome (Team B leads at halftime) with the full game outcome (Team B wins). If a team is ahead at half, they’re more likely to win overall, making these bets closely linked. -
Other Scenarios:
Betting on the same player to achieve multiple related milestones or pairing a player prop with a team total in the same event.
What happens if you try to add correlated bets?
If you accidentally build a parlay with correlated events, our system will notify you. You’ll see an alert in your bet slip prompting you to remove one before you can continue.
What Does "Off the Board" (OTB) Mean?
When a game is marked as “off the board” (OTB), it means wagering is temporarily unavailable for that game. You can check back later to see if wagering becomes available again.
